The BajaMate Refund & Return Policy covers approvals, timelines, fees, and carrier options for returns and exchanges. Each request is reviewed fairly and quickly to ensure the best outcome for every customer.

What’s eligible

  • Approval required: Request within 5 days of delivery to receive an RMA number.
  • Condition: Unused, in original packaging, with all accessories/tags.
  • Not eligible: Custom orders and gift cards.
Unauthorized returns will be refused. Always obtain your RMA before shipping.

Fees & shipping

  • Restocking: Approved returns incur a 35 % restocking fee.
  • Return shipping: Customer-paid unless the return is due to our error or a confirmed defect.

Under the BajaMate Refund & Return Policy, customers may select any insured carrier. Most choose USPS Drop-Off Locations or FedEx Ship Centers for convenience.

How to request a return (RMA)

  1. Email info@bajamate.com or call (480) 500-7040 with your order #, item, and reason.
  2. We’ll reply with your RMA#, packing instructions, and the correct return address.
  3. Ship securely and keep your tracking number for records.

Exchanges

Need a different model or material? Contact us first to confirm availability. After inspection, replacements ship within 7–10 business days. Per the BajaMate Refund & Return Policy, exchange timing may vary for backordered items.

Defective or damaged items

If something arrives damaged or defective, contact us immediately with photos. Once verified, we’ll arrange a replacement or refund at no cost. Verified defects are covered under the BajaMate Refund & Return Policy.

Used item returns (case-by-case)

Swapping from aluminum to 316 stainless for full-time water use? Lightly used items may qualify for partial credit or exchange after inspection under the BajaMate Refund & Return Policy. Ask us before you buy—we’ll help you choose correctly.

Can I return a BajaMate product if I ordered the wrong model?
Yes—request approval within 5 days of delivery to receive an RMA. Items must be unused, in original packaging with all accessories. A 35 % restocking fee applies and return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.
Are returns accepted on custom or used products?
Custom orders and gift cards are not eligible. Lightly used items may be considered for partial credit or exchange after inspection and approval on a case-by-case basis.
Do I pay for return shipping?

Used Item Returns

Don’t worry — we won’t throw you in the deep end (Baja shelf joke). If you purchased a BajaMate aluminum adapter but later discovered your setup really calls for stainless steel, or another model better suited for full-time water use, we can help. Our team reviews each case individually to find the best fit under the BajaMate Refund & Return Policy. In most cases, lightly used items can be evaluated for partial credit or an exchange once inspected and approved — because the right material makes all the difference in long-term performance.
