HOW BAJAMATE BEGAN
It began with a problem the pool industry had learned to accept.
When Randy’s pool was built, co-owner and pool builder Scott explained why larger umbrella sleeves were not installed in Baja shelves: the additional leverage could damage or crack the surrounding pebble finish.
Instead of settling for a smaller umbrella and limited shade, Randy, Ambra and Scott reimagined what the Baja shelf could become.
The solution was not simply a larger sleeve. It was an entirely new adapter system—one that could fit into the existing pool sleeve while creating a stronger, more versatile foundation above it.
That idea became the original BajaMate adapter.
And it was only the beginning.
The adapter evolved into a modular platform, leading to the BajaMate in-pool table, a dedicated basketball-hoop sleeve, bar-top seating, and a growing collection of accessories designed around the same adaptable foundation.
What began as a solution for one pool has become a patented system for transforming underused Baja shelves into elevated spaces for shade, dining, recreation, relaxation, and gathering.
Simple in hindsight. Overlooked by the industry. Built to change the way people enjoy their pools.
