BajaMate Installation Guide — Adapter & Base Plate (5 Steps)

Install the adjustable pin, adapter tube, and 9″ BajaMate adapter base plate for a solid, precision fit. BajaMate adapters are designed for direct, level seating—no shims or special tools required.

Thread the pin: Screw the pin into the adapter base tube until snug.
Add the base plate: Thread the 9″ base plate over the adapter tube (do not tighten yet).
Set into sleeve: Lower the assembled adapter + pin into the umbrella sleeve.
Touch the shelf/deck: Adjust pin depth so the bottom of the adapter tube lightly contacts the pool shelf or deck.
Lock the plate: Rotate the base plate until it rests flush, then hand-tighten securely.

Tip: If the plastic sleeve feels snug from concrete pressure, back the pin off a few turns to reseat smoothly before tightening.

Attach the table using the four legs and included screws. Match screw length and diameter for your tube, then secure with Loctite® Blue or the included lock washers.

Select hardware: Match the larger-width screws to your tube size.
Position legs: Align the four legs with the mounting holes on the underside of the table.
Fasten: Insert screws and tighten in a cross pattern. Do not overtighten.
Secure: Apply a drop of Loctite® 243 technical details or use lock washers, then final-tighten.
Check: Ensure all legs sit flush and the tabletop is level on the adapter.

My plastic sleeve feels pinched — how do I seat the adapter?

Concrete pressure can compress sleeves slightly. Don’t force it—back the pin off a few turns, reinsert, and tighten for smooth, even seating.

Can I use the adapter with or without an umbrella?

Yes. Use the adapter alone for Baja shelf table setup or pair it with an umbrella. It fits any umbrella up to 2.25″ diameter. For smaller poles, we include fitment collars. Best results with the BajaMate umbrella.

Is the BajaMate speaker waterproof?

Will the umbrella handle strong winds?
