What is included with a BajaMate Gather system?

Each Gather system includes an aluminum tabletop, a BajaMate Anchor adapter, and the compatible assembly hardware. The Anchor adapter is available in marine-grade stainless steel or aluminum, depending on the installation.

Will the Gather system fit my existing plastic sleeve?

BajaMate Gather systems fit many existing builder-installed plastic pool and deck sleeves. Sleeve dimensions can vary, so confirm your opening size and installation depth before ordering. The system works best with a BajaMate Foundation sleeve.

What is the difference between the stainless steel and aluminum systems?

Both Gather systems use the same aluminum tabletop, which remains above the waterline. The difference is the Anchor adapter below the table. The marine-grade 316 stainless steel Anchor is designed for permanent in-pool installations, while the aluminum Anchor is intended for decks, patios, hardscape, landscapes, and temporary water exposure.

Which adapter height should I choose?

The 18-inch adapter works best for many single-step-down Baja shelves, while the 26-inch adapter works best for many two-step-down shelves. Adapter height is measured to the top of the adapter tube.

Can the tabletop be removed?

The tabletop is designed to remain installed as part of the Gather system. The center opening allows a compatible umbrella pole to pass through the table and into the Anchor adapter below.

Can I use an umbrella with the Gather system?

Yes. A compatible umbrella pole passes through the center opening in the aluminum tabletop and into the Anchor adapter below. Precision reducer rings help provide the proper fit for supported umbrella pole sizes.

How large is the tabletop?

The BajaMate tabletop is approximately 24 inches wide and provides space for drinks, snacks, phones, and other lightweight poolside items.

Does the tabletop include cup holders?

The tabletop includes integrated features for poolside entertaining, including silicone cup holders and wine-glass notches, depending on the selected product configuration.

Is the tabletop submerged in the pool?

No. The aluminum tabletop is positioned above the waterline. Only the lower portion of the Gather system may be exposed to pool water, depending on the shelf depth and installation. Choose a stainless steel Anchor for permanent in-pool use.

What should I measure before ordering?

BajaMate Anchor adapters are designed to fit most standard builder-installed umbrella sleeves.

Measure the water depth at the sleeve location to select the correct table height. The tabletop and support legs should remain above the waterline for comfortable use.

Photos of the sleeve and surrounding area are helpful when confirming compatibility.

Is the Gather system a freestanding table?

No. The Gather system mounts inside a compatible pool or deck sleeve. This eliminates the need for a bulky freestanding base and keeps the tabletop centered around the mounting point.

How much weight can I place on the tabletop?

The tabletop is intended for drinks, snacks, phones, and similar poolside items. It is not designed as a seat, step, diving platform, or support surface for heavy loads.

Should I remove the system during high winds?

No. Simply close the umbrella during high winds, storms, or whenever the pool area is unattended. Always follow the umbrella manufacturer’s wind and safety guidance.

The Mount Under the Table

The Gather Table Is Built Around a BajaMate Anchor.

The BajaMate Gather is not a freestanding table placed on a Baja shelf or pool deck. The Anchor adapter is the structural center of the system. The tabletop mounts around the Anchor, and a compatible umbrella pole can pass through the center of the table and into the Anchor below.

That means the table, umbrella, and mounting hardware can all share one clean sleeve-mounted location instead of using a separate table base and a bulky freestanding umbrella base.

The Tabletop Is Only Half of the Gather System.

The Anchor is what connects the tabletop to the sleeve below and creates the mounting location for the umbrella pole above.

It Supports the Table

The Gather tabletop is designed as part of an Anchor-based system, rather than as a table with conventional freestanding legs sitting independently on the pool shelf or deck.

This keeps the table centered around the permanent sleeve location and avoids introducing another bulky base into the space.

It Receives the Umbrella

The center opening in the Gather tabletop allows a compatible umbrella pole to pass through the table and into the Anchor.

On Baja shelves and other recessed sleeve installations, the Anchor raises the usable mounting point above the original sleeve.

The Anchor uses a compatible pool, deck, or patio sleeve as its lower mounting point. That sleeve may already exist, or it can be created with a BajaMate Foundation sleeve during new construction or renovation.

Yes — the Umbrella Passes Through the Gather Table.

The aluminum tabletop has a center opening specifically so a compatible umbrella pole can pass through the table and into the Anchor below.

This creates one integrated mounting system for the table and umbrella, rather than requiring a separate umbrella stand beside the table.

No Umbrella Required.

The Gather system can still provide an elevated table surface even when you are not using an umbrella. The Anchor remains the mounting structure for the tabletop.
